Moving on After Withdrawal

In our work with individuals who have been affected by dependency on benzodiazepines and antidepressants we have identified that many who have fully or partially recovered are at a loss as to how to move on. They lack the confidence, and in some cases the resources and skills, required to begin to rebuild their lives. Because of this, Recovery Road has made focusing on empowering these individuals a priority.

Our aim is to develop and establish a comprehensive service that provides the resources and guidance our service users need in order to create a new beginning.  We will accomplish this by supporting them as they work towards regaining their confidence, becoming self-sufficient and making sustainable changes to improve their lives, through our Empowerment Programme.

Rebuilding Lives

If you are fully or well-enough recovered from withdrawal and are interested in participating in our Empowerment Programme, below is an overview of the benefits the services we offer will provide:

Increase in your self-belief.

Support and motivate you to turn your plans into reality.

Take you from stagnation to progress and forward movement.

Identify volunteering and micro-volunteering opportunities.

Help you to work towards your career goals and to become employable.

Provide information on managing stress, anxiety and insomnia.

Enable you to find new options that are suited to your needs.

Help you develop a clear vision and plan for your life.

Give you a confidential, non-judgemental safe space in which you can explore your possibilities and work towards your goals.
